Friends and family gathered Wednesday at the funeral of a New Rochelle woman found dead and stuffed inside of a suitcase on the side of a Greenwich road last week.
Valerie Reyes, 24, was found Feb. 5, after her family reported her missing on Jan. 30.
Police announced the arrest of Reyes' ex-boyfriend Javier DaSilva Tuesday after someone used the victim's debit card in New Rochelle, according to a warrant.
Many family members wore sweatshirts that read "In Loving Memory of our beautiful soul, Valerie. You captured so many hearts." during the funeral service at St. Gabriels in New Rochelle.
She was buried at Union Cemetery in Rye, New York.
