Stop & Shop workers have been on strike for a week now, but there is one silver lining for residents in need.
Meat and other perishables that are going unsold have been donated to a number of local food pantries.
That is one thing labor and management say they have been able to agree on.
It comes at a time when pantries are running low on food due to the Easter and Passover holidays.
Some of the people getting food are striking workers.
News 12 spoke with one union leader who says maybe the donations will serve as an olive branch.
