BRIDGEPORT -

Bridgeport police are investigating a double assault that happened at Kentucky Fried Chicken on Boston Avenue.

First responders were called to the fast-food restaurant where they say a job applicant and manager were arguing.

Officials say the woman applying for a job hit the manager in the head with a metal object and was then doused with boiling hot water.

The unidentified woman was taken to Bridgeport Hospital's burn unit with second-degree burns to her face and chest. She was arrested for assault.

The manager has been asked to turn herself in.
