Norwalk police teamed up with the FBI to arrest a man who they say showed interest in a mass shooting.
The FBI received a tip that Brandon Wagshol, 22, was trying to buy large-capacity rifle magazines from out of state. During the joint investigation, the FBI and Norwalk police say Wagshol was buying rifle parts online.
They also found a Facebook post that showed his interest in committing a mass shooting.
Police arrested him at his home on Bedford Avenue Wednesday. There, police say they found a handgun and rifle, which are legally owned and registered by his father. They also say they found numerous rounds of ammunition, body armor, camouflage clothing and tactical gear, but it is not clear who owned that.
He is being held on $250,000 bond and is due in court Friday.
