As Newark deals with lead crisis, some homes have service lines replaced

News 12’s Brian Donohue visited a Newark neighborhood where homes have already had their lead water service lines replaced with safer materials.
The city has replaced about 800 service lines so far. They hope to replace a total of about 18,000 city-wide.
Volunteers have been going door-to-door to sign up city residents for lead line replacements. The project will be paid for by the city.
