Cutting cake with dental floss

- if you're making a cake that has several layers, you can cut it in half easily without using a knife
- you'll need few toothpicks and some dental floss
- make sure the cake is cold
- put the toothpicks in halfway in - they act as your markers
- take dental floss (non-flavored) and wrap it around the cake on top of the toothpicks
- pull floss tightly and you're going to have a perfectly cut piece of cake
- trick to not getting cake clump in your frosting – use the bottom (upside down) for the top layer, so you’ll have a perfectly smooth top of the cake
