Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford to close after school year

The Diocese of Bridgeport says it's closing Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford at the end of this school year because of financial reasons.
The private Catholic school has been battling declining enrollment for quite some time. The diocese says enrollment for next school year was between 100 and 110 students.
In a statement, Bishop Frank Caggiano says the decision was difficult and a “great sorrow.”
"In my judgment, it is in the best interests of our students and faculty that we assist them, to the best of our ability, to find another school of their choice where they can continue their academic and professional lives."
He also said that anyone who had registered for the next academic year will receive a full refund.
