Staton was the drummer for The Fabulous Flemtones, a band that played at the tavern on the last Friday of every month at the bar. They had done that for the past 34 years.
The band got together when all the members attended Montclair High School 45 years ago. There was even a documentary made about them.
“Orlando and I became friends in high school. He’s the reason I’m in the band,” says band member Andy McGuire.
As for the band's future, members say it is too soon to know, but they say that it's hard to imagine they wouldn't play together again.
