People protested in front of Eversource's headquarters Friday saying they are fed up with high electric bills.
PURA ordered a temporary suspension of rate increases but protesters say they want a permanent solution.
Connecticut Attorney General William Tong says he's received over 100 complaints. He is now demanding Eversource explain just how it calculates its delivery charge.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal says with the money Eversource is making, it can well afford to give consumers a break.
Eversource says the hot weather, the state's current power deal and federal requirements have caused the higher distribution fees.
The investigation will continue as PURA says they intend to hold a public hearing in August to obtain more insight from the company.
Eversource says it understands customers' concerns over higher than normal bills. The company says it's committed to working with customers as the weather continues to be warmer than normal.
