As Wilton High School prepares to reopen, dozens of students were seen in a photo from a gathering over the weekend that went viral.

The photo was posted to Facebook, then to a local news website. It reported that students gathered for a scavenger hunt, which News 12 is told is an annual tradition for senior girls.

The superintendent's secretary says he is very busy preparing for the start of school, and while they know the photo is online, he has not been available for comment.

News 12 also reached out to the town's first selectwoman for comment.

Wilton Public Schools' Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the photo.
