The Stratford Fire Department says its crews put out a boat fire Saturday morning on the Long Island Sound.
The department says the vessel caught fire about a quarter of a mile from the seawall near Beach Drive Park.
The U.S. Coast Guard and crews from the Bridgeport and Milford fire departments also assisted in dousing the flames.
A passing boater picked up the people on board the vessel on fire before crews arrived.
No injuries were reported.
