A Stratford man and his dog are celebrating a decade's worth of work as a pet therapy team. Al Emond and Maggie, his Shepard-Collie mix, visit nursing homes such as Cambridge Manor in Fairfield on a weekly basis. He says their goal is to enrich residents with the joy that only a dog can provide. Emond adopted Maggie from Bridgeport Animal Control in 2002 after she was hit by a car on Iranistan Avenue in Bridgeport.
