A 74-year-old Stratford man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a child for multiple years.

Prosecutors say Mark Pasquariello abused the girl beginning when she was just 7 years old.

The abuse lasted until she was 9.

The state attorney commended the girl for her courage in coming forward.
