There was disagreement among mayoral candidates in Bridgeport over the future of Sikorsky Airport in Stratford.
Joe Ganim says that he believes it is time for the city to leave the airport business and to use the money from the sale of the facility to ease the tax burden on Bridgeport residents.
Conversely, Mayor Bill Finch says that the airport is helping to bring new businesses and jobs to the city.
Both candidates say voters have expressed a strong interest in learning more about the future of the airport.
Officials say the federal government has invested $44 million into upgrades to the airport over the past five years.
