Stratford police: 15 cats found abandoned in cages

The Stratford Police Department found 15 abandoned cats early Saturday morning in crates in the woods near Main Street Putney.

The Stratford Police Department found 15 abandoned cats early Saturday morning in crates in the woods near Main Street Putney.

Police say the cats had no access to food, water or shelter.

Stratford Animal Control was notified and able to retrieve the cats. They are raising money to help pay for their veterinary care through a Facebook fundraiser.
