A teacher from Stratford and a lawyer have teamed up to try their hands at a children's book.
Monica Talbot Kerkes and her cousin, Sharla Charpenteir, wanted to combine their love of travel and animals into "The Love Llama."
The book takes children on a journey all over the world where they learn about animals and endangered species in several countries.
The duo began creating the book three years ago. Charpanteir started by sketching out the characters from her home in Michigan.
Their goal is to make a series that will become a fun part of a teacher's curriculum.
The authors say Ned the Narwhal will star in his own book coming out later this summer.
