State police say a woman from Stratford is dead after an accident on Route 8 in Shelton.
Troopers say Caroline Walls, 62, was going north by exit 13 yesterday when she veered into the median, hit the metal guardrail, and then went over into the southbound side, hitting another car.
Walls died at the hospital.
The other driver was not seriously hurt.
