Strong winds, rain still in the cards in Henri's aftermath

Strong wind gusts and rain are still on the table today as New York City feels the lingering impact of Tropical Storm Henri.

While flooding in the area this morning has not been too bad, commuters are encouraged to follow flood safety tips from experts, as it is still a risk depending on how much rainfall the boroughs see today.
Mayor Bill de Blasio declared a State of Emergency in response to Henri over the weekend, with flash flood warnings being issued in both the Bronx and Brooklyn.
City beaches are closed today for the second day in a row to deter swimming, as the storm brings strong tides to the area.
