The community of Stratford is mourning the loss of a 22-year-old student who was killed in an accident on I-95 in Westport over the weekend.
The accident happened early yesterday morning near Exit 17 on the northbound side. State police say 22-year-old Alan Alexis, of Stratford, was killed when the car he was driving struck another car and rolled over. Officers say the passengers in the vehicle Alexis hit were not hurt.
News 12 Connecticut is told Alexis was traveling back from a party in New York City but never made it home.
Alexis' family says he was a graduate of Bunnell High School and was studying to obtain his bachelor's degree. They say he loved music and had a tight-knit circle of friends.
Funeral arrangements for Alexis are set for Saturday at St. James Church in Stratford.
Authorities are looking for the driver of a third vehicle that was involved in the accident but did not contribute to Alexis' death.
