Students across southwestern Connecticut gathered in Bridgeport Sunday to donate meals to hundreds of families.
Fairfield Country Day School held its third food drive at the Cardinal Sheehan Center.
Organizers tell News 12 that they provided recipients in need with all the makings of a ham dinner.
They says it is a way for the students to learn the importance of helping others.
"Especially during the holidays, that outreach is so important, it's important all the time, but it's wonderful to see the kids involved," says Terilyn Esse from Fairfield Country Day School.
Organizers say parents from Fairfield Country Day School collect the food and supplies, which are all donated.
