Students from Bridgeport High School were given a chance to sit in on real court hearings Thursday.
The Supreme Court's On Circuit program chooses two schools each year to witness oral arguments in cases that have been appealed.
With marshals present throughout the courtroom, the students watched a civil case and a criminal case.
The students found the hearings interesting and beneficial.
"I'm on the debate team at my school here," senior Ikenna Nuagu says. "They're like my role models right now because when I debate other people, I want to act like them and be proper."
