The Stamford-Norwalk area was cited in a new study as the nation?s most expensive renter?s market.
The ?Out of Reach? report, by the National Low Income Housing Coalition, states that renters would have to make almost $32 an hour to reside in Stamford.
Meanwhile, Bridgeport ranks as the third most expensive area to live in Connecticut, and renters would need to earn $23 an hour to live in the area. In Milford, it drops slightly to $21 an hour.
All of the figures in the report are for affordable housing. Experts say one solution to lower the rent is to greatly increase the amount of affordable housing units. However, those experts say it will likely get worse before it gets better.
