A new study just out supports building a third casino in the state, possibly in the Bridgeport area.
The two tribal casinos have been looking to draw gamblers away from a planned casino in Massachusetts.

The study commissioned by MGM Resorts International says the new casino would take an investment of $1 billion in the Bridgeport area and create over 5,000 jobs.

The study finds a new casino in southwestern Connecticut would be more profitable than a new casino in the Hartford area.
