Suffolk County District Attorney Tim Sini conceded the race to Republican Ray
Tierney Tuesday night.
In his
concession speech, Sini said there was a surge of the Republican vote in
Suffolk and Nassau counties.
Sini
says he will assist Tierney with the transition.
Tierney
is unaffiliated but ran under the Republican and Conservative lines.
"I will fight every day to keep the citizens of Suffolk
County safe," Tierney said in his victory speech.
