3ds agoThe Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says an Amityville woman has been charged with animal cruelty.
The SPCA says a 3-year-old male Shih Tzu-poodle mix was found severely matted, covered with fleas and had an open wound.
The dog was removed from 59-year-old Carolyn Robinson's house.
The animal received treatment and was adopted to a new family.
