A cold front is now on its way into western Connecticut tonight. Scattered showers and even a few rumbles of thunder are possible in some of the heavier downpours. The rain will be on and off, but eventually, the winds will turn more onshore as the cold front sinks through the area. This new colder air mass will wipe out the warm 60-and 70-degree temperatures we've had the last few days.
Temperatures will fall back into the 40s tonight and stay there for tomorrow. Rain showers are likely, especially during the daytime. Winds will be a bit breezy out of the east at 10-15 mph with higher gusts.
The front will rise back northward on Friday. The warmer air will push northward and temperatures will rise into the lower 60s. Saturday looks to be the warmest day of the weekend with temperatures pushing 70 degrees once again.
Rain will return later Sunday and bring cooler temperatures back to our area for next week.
