Today was a decent weather day for the most part, but definitely a little chillier than usual for mid-November. Normal average high temperatures are in the low to mid-50s, but today's highs were in the mid to upper 40s. At least, as expected, the wind was much lighter than in recent days.
Tonight, clouds will increase and temperatures will briefly drop into the low to mid-30s before midnight. After midnight, there will be a bit of a wind shift from the northwest to the west-southwest. This will help temperatures rise a few degrees after midnight as rain showers move in.
While there can be a few wet snowflakes mixed in initially, this is mostly chilly rain for Nassau and Suffolk Counties late tonight through mid-morning tomorrow.
Road conditions will stay damp with temperatures well above freezing. Rain totals will also be very light - only around an average of 0.1".
After the rain showers end in the morning, some breaks of sun arrive in the afternoon with temperatures in the upper 40s.
