Bridgeport police are seeking at least two suspects seen on surveillance video stealing a motorcycle from a downtown parking garage.
Police say the thieves loaded the bike into the back of a minivan inside the City Trust Building garage.
Surveillance cameras caught much of the theft, including a suspect paying for parking and a green minivan driving away with the motorcycle in the back. The minivan in the video is seen without license plates.
Bridgeport police are asking anyone with information about the theft to contact them.
In order to help prevent similar thefts, a local used vehicle merchant says riders should chain their bikes to stationary objects or use rear-sprocket locks.
Ferry Rod owns Car Time Used Cars in Bridgeport. He also sells motorcycles, and he's been riding them for most of his life, he says.
"You can take the two spark plug wires off, put them in your pocket, and the bike don't run," he says.
Many bikes, like cars, now also come with alarms, according to Rod.
