BRIEFING UPDATES:
-31,960 tests were administered and 207 came back positive
-This is a 0.65% positivity rate
-59 patients are hospitalized (decrease of 12)
-There have been 5 COVID-related deaths
-Schools reopening survey results: -76% of students expected to return to in-person class -81% of teachers expected to return to in-person teaching -54% of students expected to ride the bus -Many still unsure and plans can change
-Education Commissioner Miguel Cardona says that as of Saturday, 231 school districts have submitted their plans to the state. He says they have a team now reviewing those plans.
-The superintendent from New Canaan says they are also working on expanding outdoor spaces and they plan on bringing teachers back early for extra training.
