Students at a Bronx school were forced to leave their classrooms today after a school safety agent found a suspicious package.
Officials say they located a paper bag that had the word "bomb" written on it.
According to the Department of Education, more than 1,000 kids were temporarily taken from Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy/M.S. 41 to P.S. 44.
The package was found to be empty and classes resumed shortly after.
Some students say the incident likely started as a Facebook posting with a similar bag with the same word written on it.
