Authorities say a thorough sweep at the Statue of Liberty after a bomb threat has turned up no explosives.
The landmark was evacuated Friday as a precaution after a 911 caller made the threat and a canine unit sniffed out a potential problem. But authorities say a more thorough sweep came up empty.
The Park Service said in a statement that the threat was from a person who said "they were going to blow up the Statue of Liberty."
Hundreds of visitors were evacuated by boat. No one was harmed.
