Two Syrians who now live in the Bridgeport area are talking publicly for the first time about the nightmare of being tortured, and seeing their family members shot to death, in the recent political upheaval in their home country.
They tell us they shot this video of a demonstration in Damascus, which later aired on Arabic television.
They say their family members were executed just because they took part in an anti-government demonstration
Their lawyer says the woman will never get over her experience. "She was tortured. She was humiliated. And fortunately she was let go, unlike other women. She was told not to scream, if she screams she would be tortured more. She just had to bite the cloth and stay silent so they will stop torturing."
