The Bronx teen accused of fatally shooting his friend was ordered held on a $250,000 bond following his arraignment.
Steafon Lewi, 19, was arraigned Saturday on charges of manslaughter and criminal weapon possession for the death of 17-year-old Ackeem Davis.
Lewis told police that he was "playing around and smoking weed" with his friends when he accidently shot and killed Davis.
According to a criminal complaint, Davis was wrestling on the floor when Lewis pointed the gun at Davis.
Lewis pulled the trigger, and Davis was struck in the chest. Lewis then ran outside and called 911.
He says the gun belonged to Davis's brother.
Lewis' family told News 12 that the teen didn't know the gun was loaded.
