A shooter gunned down a 19-year-old Bridgeport man in the East End Thursday night, marking the 20th homicide in the Park City this year.
Police have not yet determined a motive in the slaying of Eric Diaz, who was shot in stomach near the intersection of Newfield Avenue and Beardsley Street. His nickname was "D-Mob."
He was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital after 10 p.m.
Relatives say Diaz was a nice guy who got along with everybody. He liked music and was close with his family.
Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez says his officers will track down and bring to justice Diaz's killer.
