Finally, temperatures are closer to the normal for this time of the year versus the cold snap we've been dealing with since the weekend.

A chilly start to the day, but temperatures rebound to the low 40s today. Friday's temperatures in the 50s will be accompanied by wind and rain.

Snowmelt and rainfall Thursday night into Friday may cause street flooding.

FORECAST:

Midweek and we are finally moving out of the bitter blast of arctic air we've been dealing with since the weekend snow. Today features mostly sunny skies mixed with a few clouds and temperatures topping out in the low to mid-40s.

Temperatures don't usually rise at night but expect that to happen Thursday as a storm system brings wind-driven rain to southwestern Connecticut. Get ready for temperatures to surge above normal Friday early on the heels of the storm that brings heavy rain that could lead to localized street flooding Friday morning.

It will be a cold start for Wednesday morning but by the afternoon, temperatures will recover nicely with highs in the mid-40s. The winds will pick up in the afternoon out of the Southwest and gust up to 25 mph.

The winds will settle down for Thursday as temperatures warm up even more.

The warmest temperatures of the entire week will hit early Friday morning, where there will be widespread 50 degree temperatures. The catch will be that heavy wind driven rain will be falling. We could see up to 1" of rain fall and that coupled with all the melting snow may cause some minor issues on the roads for Friday.
