All health plans offered through Access Health CT provide coverage for ten Essential Health Benefits. This means our coverage options include preventive services, emergency room visits, hospitalization, prescription drugs, mental health services and more. These services are essential for ensuring you get the care you need when you need it.Preventive services include annual checkups, health screenings for cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other conditions, vaccines and more. They’re important because they can detect an illness or disease in its early stage and help prevent it from becoming more serious.You can use preventive services without having to pay your deductible, and they require no copayment. So, use your preventive services. They’ll help you save your money and your health.

Ten Essential Health Benefits

There are ten Essential Health Benefits included in the health plans offered through Access Health CT. All health plans cover:

• Outpatient care

• Emergency room visits

• Hospitalization

• Maternity and newborn care

• Mental health and substance abuse services

• Prescription drugs

• Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices

• Laboratory services

• Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management

• Pediatric services, including oral and vision care

Plus, some health plans offer additional benefits like adult vision coverage and more.

Dental Coverage

All health plans offered through Access Health CT include pediatric dental coverage for anyone under 26 years old, and some plans include limited dental benefits for adults. You can also get dental coverage through Access Health CT via a Stand-Alone Dental Plan. You can enroll in both health and dental coverage, or you can enroll in just one or the other.
