Terrence Chang appointed as president of Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system

Cheng says he is humbled by the appointment.

The campus director of UConn Stamford has been appointed the president of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system.
Terrence Chang will oversee 17 higher education institutions serving more than 72,000 students.
He is a faculty member in the English department.
Cheng says he is humbled by the appointment.
"It's a surreal experience for me to be here," Cheng says. "To have this charge, to have this responsibility bestowed on to me and it's going to be my life's greatest challenge and one of my life's greatest honors."
