A drag performer in Norwalk says getting the opportunity to wear makeup, wigs and create dazzling costumes is the realization of the American dream.

Angelina Fierce is known as both the Latin Doll and the American Dream Queen.

Fierce, whose real name is Angel Garcia, grew up in Spain and El Salvador, where being yourself wasn't safe.

"People get killed by this," Fierce said. So Fierce moved to the U.S. "A lot of people call me the American Dream Queen."
