The Tunnel to Towers' 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit was open to the public Saturday on the grounds of Easton Congregational Church.
"We are so grateful to all of the local donors who stepped up to make this free exhibit possible," said Don Boyce of Easton, who lobbied to bring the exhibit to town.
The 83-foot tractor-trailer, which expands to exhibit a wide array of 9/11 artifacts, has been touring the country for years – but today's visit marks only the second time the museum has visited Connecticut, organizers said.
"For us in Easton, this is very personal -- because we've had parishioners here who lost their lives," said Boyce.
The museum-on-wheels has visited nearly all 50 states and has hosted over a million visitors, organizers said.
