Thousands of people are without power Wednesday after an overnight storm system brought heavy rains and wind to Connecticut.

Eversource reports that they have outages totaling 22,769 customers across Connecticut. 

United Illuminating says 1,866 people are without power in Bethel, while Eversource reports 3,160 do not have power in Bridgeport.

Both utility companies report that there are outages across multiple towns including 953 outages in Fairfield.
