Voters in Westport will choose a new first selectman.

Current First Selectman Jen Tooker announced she would not run for reelection and instead run for governor.

Months later, the Republican dropped out of the race.

Democrat Kevin Christie was first elected to the school board in 2021 and is currently chair of its policy committee.

Republican Don O'Day is the Republican-endorsed candidate, who until May of this year was a lifelong Democrat.

There is also a third candidate in the race.

Independent David Rosenwaks is Westport's first ever Independent Party-endorsed candidate.
