The town of Westport celebrated International Women's Day Tuesday.
First Selectwoman Jennifer Tooker and Selectwoman Andrea Moore hosted a gathering at Town Hall where they celebrated women leaders from different town government departments.
Tooker said it's important to recognize women who contribute to their community.
"When you think about men and women in leadership positions, it's just so important to make sure you have all different types of voices, all different types of experiences, all different types of backgrounds at the table in decision making roles," said Tooker.
For the first time in town history, Westport is currently led by a full board of selectwomen.
