The Town of Westport is making a rainbow-colored crosswalk installed during Pride Month a permanent fixture.

It is located at Taylor Place and Jesup Road.

Organizers say the material used to make the crosswalk will last for about 10 years, rather than normal paint which only lasts about six months.

The project was financed through a fundraiser.
