A Trumbull man has been sentenced to death after being convicted of murdering a child and two adults in Bridgeport more than seven years ago.
Richard Roszkowski shot and killed Thomas Gaudet, Holly Flannery and her 9-year-old daughter Kylie on Seaview Avenue in 2006.
A jury previously recommended the death penalty in March.
The judge formally sentenced Roszkowski to death for the girl's murder, life in prison for the deaths of the two adults and five years in prison on a firearms charge.
This could be the last death sentencing in Connecticut, as officials repealed the death penalty for all future murders in 2012.
The date for the execution was scheduled for Oct. 1, however appeals will push that date further back.
