The UConn Huskies beat the St. John's Red Storm 95-90 at Madison Square Garden Friday night to advance to the Big East championship game Saturday night.

This will be the 11th appearance in the Big East finals for the Huskies, which are ranked No. 2 in the nation.

Tristen Newton led the team in scoring with 25 points, and Cam Spencer added 20.
