UConn students celebrated Wednesday after the women's basketball team trounced Syracuse Tuesday night for the national championship.
The women beat Syracuse 82-51 Tuesday night to become the first women's basketball team to win four consecutive national championships.
The title caps off another perfect season for UConn. They have now won 11 national championships.
Students from the University of Connecticut said that they couldn't be prouder of their women's basketball for making history.
"I cried in the middle, I cried in the end," said Mavina Moore, a UConn alum.
Students said they hope the women carry on this legacy for many more years to come.
