United Airlines says its flights are back on schedule Wednesday evening after it had to ground all U.S. flights for about two hours.
The airline experienced systemwide computer problems at around 8 a.m.
Travelers experienced long lines and delays across the country while the system was down. Westchester County Airport had six United flights in and out Wednesday.
Flights already in the air at the time of the alert continued to operate. That was the case with the first United departure from and arrival at Westchester County Airport, which kept later flights on time.
Some United passengers did report slight hiccups checking in, which airport officials attribute to the automation issue.
A few travelers said that they couldn't use kiosks to check in.
United had a similar computer issue in early June and had to halt flights across the country then as well.
