United Illuminating has been dealing with its own outage issue over the past few days regarding its notification system.
After three days after the storm, the utility says its system designed to update customers about power restoration has been fixed.
Fairfield's First Selectmen Michael Tetreau says the utilities' communication is still a serious issue.
"They refuse to listen. They refuse to modify. It's very frustrating," said Tetreau. "We have the same arguments every single time there is a storm."
A United Illuminating spokesperson told News 12 that they plan to have almost every customer who lost power back online by 4 p.m. Sunday.
