The University of Connecticut's Board of Trustees will transfer the school's former Torrington satellite campus to the city.
The board voted on Wednesday to sell the 95-acre property for $1.
The classroom building will now house a head start pre-school program, a day-treatment program and adult education courses.
The sale is pending approval.
