The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force is now recommending adults ages 19-64 be screened for anxiety disorders.
It marks the first time the group of medical experts has made a final recommendation on screening for anxiety disorders in adults.
The task force found "insufficient evidence" to recommend screening for anxiety in older adults.
The group continues to recommend that all adults be screened for major depressive disorder.
